1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how TV Remote Cast handles information when you use the Android app. It applies to the app and not to third-party TV platforms, Cast receivers, streaming apps, or advertising partners.
TV Remote Cast is not an official Google, Android TV, Chromecast, Samsung, LG, Roku, Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, or Disney product. Third-party names are used only to describe compatibility or quick-launch destinations.
2. Information processed by the app
- Local network discovery information, such as nearby Android TV device names, IP addresses, and service ports.
- Pairing credentials generated on your device, including a local client certificate used to reconnect to paired Android TV devices.
- Connection status, remote-control actions, and local diagnostic logs shown inside the app.
- Media picker selections when you choose a photo or video for casting.
- Advertising identifiers and ad-related signals processed by Google Mobile Ads when ads are loaded.
3. How information is stored
Pairing credentials and saved connection settings are stored locally on your device. TV Remote Cast does not upload Android TV pairing credentials, TV IP addresses, local logs, selected media files, or remote-control commands to a Gagasoft server.
If you clear the app data or uninstall the app, locally stored pairing credentials and saved connection settings are removed by Android.
4. Permissions
- Network access: used to discover Android TV devices, connect to paired TVs, load ads, and open policy links.
- Wi-Fi and network state: used to support local network discovery.
- Media picker: used only when you choose a photo or video for casting.
5. Advertising
TV Remote Cast may display banner and native ads through Google Mobile Ads. Google and its partners may process device, ad, and usage signals according to Google's advertising and privacy terms. You can manage ad personalization in your device or Google account settings.
6. Casting and third-party services
When you use Cast or quick-launch actions, your selected Cast receiver, TV platform, or streaming app may receive the media URL, app link, or command needed to complete your requested action. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
7. User controls
- You can disconnect from a TV inside the app at any time.
- You can remove saved pairing credentials by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.
- You can decline media selection by closing Android's system picker without choosing a file.
8. Changes
We may update this policy to reflect product, legal, or platform changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
