Privacy Policy

Medication Care

Your medication details belong to you. This policy explains what the Android app stores, when information can leave your device, and the controls available to you.

Effective and last updated: July 30, 2026 Package: com.gagasoft.medicationcare Publisher: GAGASOFT

1. Scope and medical notice

This policy applies to the Medication Care Android app. The app is a general wellness tool that reminds you about schedules you enter and lets you record what happened. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or make decisions about a condition or medication.

Follow the instructions supplied with your medication and consult a qualified healthcare professional before changing how you take it or deciding what to do after a missed dose.

2. Information the app processes

Medication and care information

  • Medication names, strength, form, notes, photos, prescribing institution, prescriber, pharmacy, quantity per dose, and inventory amounts.
  • Schedules, time zone, reminder windows, and dose status such as scheduled, taken, snoozed, skipped, or not recorded, including relevant times and optional skip reasons.
  • App settings such as language, theme, reminder, privacy-mode, and backup preferences.

This information is stored in the app's private storage on your device. The app also stores local scheduling diagnostics, such as the last reminder scheduled, delivered, or rebuilt. Medication Care does not create a GAGASOFT account and does not upload medication records to a GAGASOFT-operated server.

Optional Google Drive backup

If you explicitly authorize Google Drive backup, the app uploads a backup containing your medications, schedules, dose history, medication photos, and covered app settings to the hidden application-data folder in the Google Account you select. Automatic daily backup is used only after you enable it and have an eligible Premium entitlement. The app requests the limited drive.appdata scope and does not intentionally read or modify files outside its own application-data folder.

Usage analytics and crash diagnostics

Google Analytics for Firebase processes app-instance and device identifiers, app and device information, approximate location derived from IP address, and app interactions. Custom events include screens opened, settings changed, reminder delivery and actions, report use, ad status, and backup or restore completion counts. These events can indicate that a medication-related action occurred, but our event code does not deliberately send medication names, free-text medication notes, photos, prescriber, institution, pharmacy, or report contents to Firebase.

Firebase Crashlytics processes installation identifiers, crash and non-fatal error reports, stack traces, timestamps, app version, device model, operating-system information, and related technical diagnostics. The app also attaches a general app-area label and technical event names to help diagnose failures.

Advertising information

For users who are not recognized as Premium, the Google Mobile Ads SDK is initialized and may automatically collect and share IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID. Google uses this information for advertising, ad measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention. We do not deliberately add medication names, doses, schedules, notes, photos, institutions, prescribers, pharmacies, or adherence results to ad requests.

Purchase information

Premium subscriptions are offered through Google Play Billing. Google Play processes payment and transaction information. The app receives product and subscription status, pricing, purchase state, and a purchase token needed to grant and acknowledge the entitlement. The current app does not send the purchase token to a GAGASOFT server or attach a GAGASOFT account identifier to the purchase.

Permissions not requested

The current release does not request contacts, SMS, precise location, microphone, broad photo-library access, or broad storage access. When you add a medication photo, Android's system picker provides only the item you select.

3. How information is used

The app uses local medication and care information to create your schedule, display doses, send and act on reminders, estimate inventory, show widgets, create reports, export records, and perform a backup or restore that you request.

Usage and diagnostic information is used to understand feature reliability, measure app and advertising performance, diagnose crashes and errors, prevent abuse, and improve the app. Purchase information is used to display plans, complete or restore a subscription, and enable Premium features.

The app does not diagnose a condition, recommend a dosage, deliberately use the medication content you enter to target ads, or sell personal or health information.

4. Service providers and when information leaves your device

  • Google Firebase: receives analytics events and crash diagnostics to provide Analytics and Crashlytics.
  • Google Mobile Ads: receives advertising, interaction, identifier, and diagnostic information for ad delivery, measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention for non-Premium users.
  • Google Drive: receives your backup archive only after Google Account authorization and a manual backup request or enabled automatic backup.
  • Google Play: processes app distribution, subscription purchases, payment, entitlement, and fraud-prevention information.
  • Apps and destinations you choose: receive a CSV export or PDF report only after you select a destination in Android's system interface.

Google may process information on global infrastructure under its applicable terms and Privacy Policy. A receiving app or storage destination you select handles exported records under its own privacy practices.

We do not sell personal information. Data handled by Google for advertising can be considered “sharing” under some privacy or app-store definitions even when no money is exchanged for the data.

5. Storage, retention, export, and deletion

Medication information remains in the app's private local database and photo storage until you delete it, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Android system cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for this app data.

  • Use Settings → Export records as CSV to create a portable copy.
  • Use the report screen to create a temporary PDF and choose where to share it.
  • Use Settings → Delete all local data to remove medications, schedules, dose records, and inventory from this device.
  • Disable automatic Google Drive backup in Settings to stop future scheduled uploads.
  • You can disable notifications, exact alarm access, or privacy-mode wording at any time in app or system settings.

A Drive backup remains in your Google Drive application-data folder until it is overwritten or deleted. Deleting local app data, uninstalling the app, or revoking Google Account access does not by itself guarantee deletion of an existing Drive backup. You can delete hidden app data through Google Drive settings under Manage apps. Removing account access prevents future access but may not delete already stored data.

Deleting local data does not delete copies you previously exported or shared. Google retains Analytics, Crashlytics, advertising, and transaction data according to the relevant service settings, legal requirements, and Google policies. Firebase states that Crashlytics crash traces and associated identifiers are generally retained for 90 days before removal begins.

6. Security

Android app-private storage and operating-system access controls protect local data from ordinary access by other apps. Cleartext network traffic and automatic Android backup are disabled. Data sent to Google services uses encrypted network connections.

The local database is not represented as end-to-end encrypted. The Google Drive backup archive is transferred over HTTPS and stored in the app-specific Drive data folder, but the current app does not add separate password encryption or end-to-end encryption to the archive itself. Protect access to your device and Google Account and keep Android security updates current.

No security measure is perfect. Please do not send medication names, diagnoses, prescription images, or other sensitive health details in ordinary support email.

7. Children and family use

The current release is designed for an adult device owner managing their own locally stored schedule. Online family accounts, child-directed services, invitations, and remote caregiver monitoring are not enabled. A parent or guardian should supervise any use involving a child’s medication.

8. Privacy rights and legal review

Because Medication Care has no GAGASOFT account and keeps primary medication data locally or in the Google Drive account you authorize, access, correction, export, and deletion are primarily performed on your device or through Google Drive. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may also have rights to request information about, access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information processed for GAGASOFT.

To exercise an applicable privacy right, contact us at the address below. We may need enough information to understand and verify the request, but you should not include medication or diagnosis details. Requests concerning data controlled independently by Google should also be directed through Google's account and privacy controls.

9. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when app behavior or third-party services change. Material changes will be communicated through an updated in-app link or release notice where appropriate. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version.

10. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, email medicationcare@gagasofts.com. Please do not include medication names, diagnoses, prescription images, or other sensitive health details in an ordinary email.
